Hey Matt, Thanks for the great comments. I think it's all a matter of perspective. I am making the statement that work doesn't have to embody the negative connotations that you alluded to. Instead, you should find the play within your work.

I have seen far to many people dread their jobs and mask it by their "play". I feel like you're spot on with your approach...I can tell through your writing that you have a positive outlook on everything you do! Keep it up and keep up the blog...it's great. I hope to connect soon.

Interesting, I've always lived by the mantra of having a "balanced life" ... mixed with a little work, play, socializing, etc... mind/body/spirit. Although, I don't view work as something negative. I love what I do. I would generally agree that the typical connotation of work is something people view as negative, but not I. When I'm helping out friends find jobs and watching leads, I don't ask, "What can you do?" ... I ask what they *like* to do... because I agree, we should settle for what we enjoy and nothing less. I encourage that mentality. All too often we take what we can get... which is fair sometimes for someone who has been unemployed for a year.

I would say that there needs to be some balance, though. Some equilibrium... I'm assuming you mean the book, Never Eat Alone. I have that book around here, I think I'll read it this week. Thanks for the tip.

Anyway, to your ending question, I work hard and I play hard. But I enjoy both the working and the playing :)
